Trash vs. Treasure

dvn5dvn2dvn6dvn1dvn3dvn7

_____

This was a reject pants and sweater combo from one of the outfit pulls I did for my latest client I styled. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure right? It’s a lot more colors than I usually wear but I absolutely love it. These pants I think were meant to be capri length (at least on the runway)….oh well what can you do. You work with what you’ve got.

_

Top: DVF Cami, Uniqlo cardi, Helmut lang blazer

Bottom: Dries Van Noten Pants not skirt…love this shape.

Shoes: Dries Van Noten

Jewelry: Vintage perfume bottle necklaces (gorgeous jeweled one from my grandmother-in-law), vintage eagle ring

Scarf: from my last trip to Bangkok.

The colours are perfect together. I’m so attracted to this combination of green and brown. Although I don’t think I own anything that shade of green…! But that eagle ring is just unbelievable. I am in love with that, truly!

The colors are perfect together but I am particularly jealous of your ring and necklace. The eagle ring is to die for!!

    shame, those pants are great!

Last time I went to Bangkok I loaded up on scarves too. They have such a beautiful array of different styles. I found some nice ones in Thai silk and pashminas.

Oh wow, I really like this outfit. I think it’s my fave so far. Wish I could find pants like that! (That aren’t wool; am violently allergic.)

i love this outfit so much! you’ve got me obsessed with finding pants that look like a skirt. i can’t imagine any pair being more perfect than these.

and i had to laugh when you mentioned this outfit having a lot of color. as a fellow color-phobe, i know what you mean. but i think because you only worked in hints of color, covering the cardigan with the black jacket, it doesn’t seem like too much at all.
